The Brand was founded in 1919 in Ohio (US), when engineer Herbert Johnston designed and marketed the first mechanical mixer for domestic use.
Since then KitchenAid has evolved into a complete line of small and large appliances, a perfect synthesis of professional performance, artisanal quality and an unmistakable aesthetic that still represents a true icon of universal design.
KitchenAid is part of Whirlpool Corporation along with other major brands such as Indesit, Hotpoint and Bauknecht.
In 2015 KitchenAid chose S’nce Group among its key partners to follow and enhance the digital transformation process of the Brand. Since then, S’nce Group has been in charge of the implementation and maintenance of a brand new responsive user experience across all EMEA sites, including the e-commerce ones.
Among the multitude of projects accomplished over the years, an honorable mention goes to the Stand Mixer personalization tool, requested in 2017 to empower the e-commerce experience and provide KitchenAid customers with an online personalization service tailored for the most iconic product of the brand.
Operating in a complex and intertwined enterprise environment requires the ability to look at the big picture in every step of the process. Over the years S’nce Group supported KitchenAid across several refactor projects, delivering a renewed and fully tested UX/UI and backend infrastructure with up-to-date technologies.
Particular attention has been given to the complex integration with the entire stack of external platforms involved in the architecture: payment gateways, CRM/CMT platforms, order management tools as well as catalog data. All of these features are being constantly monitored within a continuous deployment approach aimed at reducing and automatize DevOps activities.
Every project has been delivered following both Agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
